We have 15 states represented!
Our first sections have arrived! We're excited to say that 3 out of the 4 mosaics now have pieces from a different school! Yay! The first piece to arrive was from our very own state of Massachusetts!  Mrs. Barrett's Class One piece has arrived from Maple Hill Elementary in Middletown, NY and another from Dr. Rodriguez Elementary in Harlingen, TX!  Mrs. Smith's Class One section has arrived from West Intermediate School in Wilmington, MA and another is from Lake Marion Creek School in Poinciana, FL! (The third piece is from our class!)  Mrs. Dean's Class Our first piece arrived from Eanes Elementary School in Austin, TX!  Miss Leach's Class~still waiting for our first to arrive! The section below was created by our class!  The four classes participating in the project have completed their artwork and all pieces have been mailed! We have created a Mondrian display in the cafeteria (for the entire school to see!) and we'll be identifying each of the sections home state, province and/or country using our maps. Students are getting excited! In honor of National Poetry Month, students in Mrs. Barrett's 3rd grade class wrote original poems on topics of their choice.
